Information we process

For a preview, we process your destination URL and printing dimensions to generate the watermarked image. The app does not save preview designs as orders. For a purchase, we store the design, order reference, checkout reference, payment status, a private download token, and relevant delivery information. Your email address is obtained from checkout to deliver your order. Please do not put passwords, private tokens, medical information, or confidential data in a QR destination.

Payments and service providers

Stripe handles your payment details. We receive payment confirmation and order contact details, not your full card number. Our hosting provider processes requests and security logs. Our email provider processes transactional delivery messages. Google Fonts may receive your IP address and browser information when font files load. Providers may process data in countries other than your own.

Purposes and legal bases

We use order information to perform our contract with you, provide downloads, resolve support requests, and meet accounting obligations. We process limited security information for our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and keeping the service working. We do not sell personal information or add purchasers to a marketing mailing list through this service.

Traffic-quality analytics

We use Is Your Traffic Real to measure visits and assess automated traffic. Its script processes page and referring-site addresses with query strings removed, page titles, browser and device signals, campaign parameters, and basic interaction signals. It uses a session identifier in sessionStorage rather than a persistent identifier cookie. Requests to that provider also expose normal connection information such as your IP address. We use this information to understand traffic quality and protect the service. This is website analytics, not tracking scans of your generated QR code.

Cookies and QR scans

AnswerGlass does not require an advertising cookie or an account to create a preview. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies on its checkout for payment and fraud prevention. We do not receive scans of your generated code through an AnswerGlass redirect: the code points to the URL you provide. The destination website has its own privacy practices.

Retention and security

Download access and saved design files are retained for 30 days. Local order records are removed after that period. Payment and accounting records held by our payment provider may remain longer as required for legitimate recordkeeping and legal obligations. Security logs may be kept for up to 30 days. Access is restricted and transmission uses HTTPS, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your download link private because anyone with it can access the files during its validity period.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your information. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity and retain records required by law. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children and changes

This service is intended for adults purchasing personal or business print files. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Changes to this policy will appear here with an updated effective date.
